Gnist Barnehager is a chain of private kindergartens with kindergartens in Hordaland, Møre og Romsdal and Trøndelag. Our first kindergarten opened in 2004 - at that time under the name Grønmyr Barnehage. In 2014 we changed our name to Gnist Barnehager. Today we consist of 17 kindergartens and we tend to expand our concept to even greater parts of the country.

Approximately 500 competent and committed employees work in our kindergartens. These people are the most important reason why Gnist Barnehager can offer childcare of the highest quality. Every day, all our dedicated employees work passionately to bring out the best in your child. We are extremely proud of the work we do, and will do our utmost to give your child a kindergarten experience of the highest quality.

Welcome to Gnist Hessa. Our kindergarten has a fantastic location by Hessa’s shoreline. Our idyllic location provides us with excellent opportunities for exciting and varied outdoor activities, both within the kindergarten’s areas and beyond. We use the boathouse in all seasons, and can keep warm in the loft on cold days.

Welcome to Gnist Tiller. We opened our doors in August 2017 and the kindergarten has a central location in Trondheim, at the centre of an exciting area currently under development. New, modern properties are being constructed here, close to both the city and natural areas. With short distances to all amenities, good public transport, and parks for leisure and recreation, the area will become an excellent place for families with children over the coming years.

Gnist Brennan

Welcome to Gnist Brennan. Our kindergarten has a unique surrounding area, which offers fantastic walking opportunities to Kullsjøen, Kåsen, Fransen and Oppdal cultural centre. We are also connected to Kullbotn farm. Here there are hens, rabbits and bottle-fed lambs, which the children like to groom, feed and care for. The children also learn to cultivate and harvest vegetables.
